The company FILTROX AG, established in 1938 in St.Gallen, Switzerland, as a factory for filter media, has developed into the worldwide leading manufacturer of filter sheets and filtration systems for the food and beverage industry.

A principal and essential reason for this on-going success is the focus on filtration technology and the determination to offer innovative, economic solutions to the clients.

The filters are manufactured in our own production site in St.Gallen, meeting the highest quality criteria. Certification according to ISO 9001 and 14000 is a matter of course. Filters and vessels are manufactured according to all common pressure vessel specifications and codes.

FILTRATION SYSTEMS FOR THE BREWING INDUSTRY

The most important segment of our business is filtration systems for the brewing industry. FILTROX is proud of the fact, that without exception, all leading brewing groups of the world are among the many FILTROX customers.

The new candle filter SYNOX, based on globally proved technology, with its patented STABOX filter candles, is the state of the art filter for DE-filtration. With this new design it is also possible to use alternative filter aids in the future. For many years this type of filter has also been successfully used for the stabilization of beer with PVPP.

The cross-flow membrane filter CERINOX with ceramic membranes for the recovery of beer from surplus yeast is an equally well-established product in the brewing industry.

FILTER SYSTEMS FOR THE BEVERAGE AND FOOD INDUSTRY

Besides the brewing industry, these filter systems are also successfully used for the filtration of fruit juices, wine, sugar syrup (for production of soft drinks), liquors, vinegar, gelatine and other food products.

FILTER APPARATUS FOR FILTER MEDIA

With the sheet filter NOVOX, still frequently used for wine filtration, and the module filters SECUROX and DISCSTAR; FILTROX is able to fulfil all technical and technological requirements of the customers.

FILTER SHEETS, MODULES AND CARTRIDGES

As a second, equally important basis of the company, FILTROX can provide the complete range of filter sheets, modules and cartridges for all food and beverage applications, including the chemical and pharmaceutical industry. For this industry a range of FDA-approved products are available.

The capacity for production of filter sheets has been continuously enlarged during recent years, with production facilities today in four European countries.
