Testo Limited is based in Alton, Hampshire, and has been operating for 30 years as the UK subsidiary of testo AG, selling products throughout the UK and Ireland. Testo offers an extensive range of instruments for the food processing industry, including thermometers, humidity meters, thermal imaging cameras, pH meters, data loggers and cooking oil quality testers.

Testo offers continuous temperature monitoring of the production chain, precise, clean and fast measurement, as well as documentation of all measurement results. All of our portable measuring instruments are certified according to EN 13485 and all data loggers according to EN 12830.

Thermometers

Testo offers a number of professional temperature measuring instruments to fulfil your individual requirements. Whether thermometers, measurement strips or infrared measuring instruments – all meet the high standards of Testo products, and provide highly accurate and reliable results. Infrared thermometers, thanks to their short reaction time, are particularly suitable for the recording of temperature in fast and dynamic processes.

The testo 108 allows temperature measurement to be integrated into daily work routines with no added complications, helping the user comply with HACCP requirements. It is certified according to EN 13485. Two self-explanatory buttons operate the device for easy application, even by frequently changing staff.

Thermal imaging cameras

Testo offers a wide range of high-quality thermal imaging cameras with an extensive range of features, essential to everyday use. In the food sector, thermal imaging can be used for condition monitoring and preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical manufacturing plants, and is also useful in the analysis of the thermal manufacturing process.

The Testo 875, our entry-level thermal imaging camera, is perfect for spot checks in the production line, storage of food stuffs and final analysis of the produced product. It offers a resolution of 160 x 120 pixels (optional super resolution – increases res. to 320 x 240), thermal sensitivity of <80mK and 32° standard lens.

Cooking oil testing

The testo 270 allows you to accurately determine the optimum time to change cooking oil, by measuring the Total Polar Materials (TPM) of the cooking oil. The most important part of the testo 270 is Testo’s new capacitive oil sensor. Using this sensor, measurements are carried out directly in the hot cooking oil, which means that control measurements can be quickly carried out while work in the kitchen is in progress. Several deep-fat fryers can be tested back-to-back without the sensor having to cool down. Maximum use of the cooking oil is made possible. The oil is only changed if the limit value is reached.

Data loggers

Testo offers a wide range of compact and professional data loggers. Our data loggers can be used for a number of parameters, including temperature (uninterrupted monitoring on-site or during transportation and storage including high temperature environments); humidity (ideal for providing fast on-site overviews of current readings); and absolute pressure.

The testo 174T data logger is ideal for accompanying transports. Simply position close to the goods, e.g. in containers and refrigerated rooms, and the data logger monitors temperature continuously, securely and unobtrusively. The free software, ComSoft, allows fast programming of the data logger and easy analysis of results.

pH measurement instruments

Testo provides a range of practical measuring solutions for pH measurement. The instruments are simple to use and suitable for everyday use in the field. Unlike conventional sensors, Testo probes use a gel electrolyte as a storage medium; the gel is unaffected by dirt, maintenance-free and leak-proof, ensuring optimum performance of the probe in the field.

The Testo 206-pH1 is a perfect measuring instrument for fast checks on liquids. The combination of pH immersion tip and temperature probe for fast and efficient temperature compensation is unique. The Testo pH probe is leak-proof, maintenance-free, robust and not affected by dirt thanks to the large volume of gel electrolyte and the dual wall diaphragm.

Wireless monitoring system

Data monitoring has never been as flexible and safe as it is today. With the Saveris system in place, you can monitor and document all the humidity and temperature values of your products without interruption.

The testo Saveris data monitoring system measures the temperature and humidity values of sensitive goods and products in the environment, in processes and during transport. The easy-to-use measurement system delivers safety and savings in time and costs thanks to automated measurement data recording. Up to 150 probes can be connected, thus covering the entirety of your process, and uses radio, Ethernet and USB interfaces allowing you to connect and receive information as you so choose.
