Tetra Alex 2 Homogenizer from Tetra Pak

30 January 2005 16:33

Tetra Pak adds a new model to the Tetra Alex range of homogenizers. The new Tetra Alex 2 homogenizer is developed for homogenization of non-abrasive products as pasteurised milk, yoghurt milk, juice and nectar.

This new model offers an economical alternative for simple process lines when there is no need for sofisticated functions. The capacity ranges from 2,000l/h to 6,500l/h.

The machine is built on a self supporting drive unit which gives a low point of gravity reducing any vibrations and giving a noise level of only 77dB(A). The big window in the front hood allows checking of the pistons and piston seals during production. A stainless steel intermediate wall separates the hygienic part, the wet end from the drive end as well as it protects the electrical parts. Specially designed cylinder bushings make service of the pistons easy and fast. The pumblock has the 5 year guarantee against cracks that Tetra Pak offers for all the homogenizer models.

The new design of homogenizing device, HD 21 has an integrated second stage. As an example it gives a good homogenizing efficiency for pasteurised milk at 120 – 140 bar with the corresponding low energy consumption. The seat and the forcer disc are reversible for double lifetime and reduced spare part costs.

A new technical feature is also the starter panel integrated in the machine, simplifying installation of the homogenizer on site and making operation of the machine easier.

Tetra Pak continues to offer new technology also for smaller capacities.
