Because of this purpose, and thanks to our internal expertise, we have developed a number of pieces of equipment which are unique to PTL. Our focus is to build partnerships with customers and to provide quality equipment which is simple to operate and easy to clean and maintain.
PTL has developed a unique and highly effective range of continuous melters designed to melt chocolate, compound, cocoa butter, cocoa liquor, butter and various other fats. The PTL design enables both blocks and chips to be melted. Customers attain a constant supply of melted product corresponding to the production rate of downstream equipment. The unit melts only what is required, saving product as well as power.
The square design offers an efficient use of floor space and there is no delay in the melting process. Furthermore, access to melted product is not only continuous, but instant. Full wash-down models are available, which are designed for thorough cleaning when changing from one product to another and/or for allergen cleans. Double-head melters are designed to melt two different products simultaneously.
PTL manufactures a large range of enrobers for all levels of production. We have incorporated a number of features to enable fast changeovers and to minimise downtime. These features eliminate tools required for changeovers and modification. In addition, there is an easily removable belt carriage for thorough cleaning and quick changeovers.
PTL has a range of depositors and moulding lines, including one-shot, mass and inclusion, shell, and chip and button. Key features of the equipment are graphic onscreen control of the end-product, quick changeover devices and high inclusion rates and sizes.
PTL cooling tunnels are manufactured in stainless steel, incorporating lift-up hoods on both sides and along the full length of the cooling tunnel for ease of cleaning. Tunnels are designed for either chocolate or compound cooling or a combination. Slab cooling tunnels can include glycol cool beds for more intense cooling. Cooling tunnels can be equipped with continual belt washers to minimise downtime.
PTL has developed a full range of bar manufacturing equipment, including forming, sizing, caramel layering, product sprinkling, slab cooling, slitting, spreading, guillotining, enrobing, chocolate cooling and belt washing, which is used for the automatic production of nutritional, protein, muesli, granola and confectionery bars.
Our equipment is focused on flexibility, ease of cleaning and simple operation. We have removed the requirement for tools from the line and made equipment and components easily removable for cleaning when changing from one product to the next throughout the entire production.
