FERRUM - Can Seaming, Vacuum Closing, Filling and Sealing Machines

CAN SEAMING MACHINES

FERRUM manufactures a wide range of seaming machines and can closing machines for the closing of two-piece or three-piece cans made of steel, aluminium, plastics and cardboard. The production capacities range from ten to 2,500 cans per minute.

The F201 offers a production range of ten to 60 cans per minute and is exclusively designed for the seaming of large cans.

The F400 seamer generation has been developed to replace the F300 and F500 series; it has a modular design and a capacity range of 60 to 600 cans per minute (low to mid-range capacities), and is equipped with three to six seaming stations for can-diameter ranges of 50mm to 154mm. A key feature is the use of two independent drives; one for the lifters and chucks, and one for the production speed.

The F706 and F708 seamers represent the medium capacity range of products, enabling cans of a wide range of diameters to be closed at 250 to 1,000 cans per minute.

The F512, F812 and F918 constitute the high-capacity range of machines available, capable of speeds from 1,000 to 2,500 cans per minute.

FERRUM's six to 18-station seamers are equipped with a closed automatic oil lubrication system, ensuring 24-hour operation without interruption. This system also includes the well-known maintenance and loss-free automatic seaming roll lubrication. These seamers are also available with a quick-change set for a fast and accurate changeover between different can diameters.

The six, eight and 12-spindle seamers can be equipped with the well-proven lid sterilisation system. This system is mainly used on filling-seaming lines for canned beer.

VACUUM GASSING CLOSING AND SEALING MACHINES

FERRUM also produces a range of vacuum gassing closing machines for processing wet and dry products. FSN and FSH vacuum gassing machines are used for evacuation, injection of gas and closing of round cans containing oxygen-sensitive products, such as milk-powder, coffee, nuts, etc.

Our vacuum closing machines, FVA and FVB, are specially designed for products such as sweet corn, meat, coffee, etc., and may be operated at speeds of up to 600 cans per minute.

FERRUM sets a high standard with the VGS sealing machines. They have been developed to close containers made of plastic, paperboard, etc. with an aluminium or plastic membrane. These vacuum closing machines are designed to operate at speeds from 150 to 400 containers per minute, with optimal residual oxygen values.

VOLUMETRIC FILLING MACHINES AND MONOBLOC SYSTEMS

Complimenting the range of closing machines, FERRUM also manufactures a range of equipment for filling liquid and semi-viscous products into cans, plastic, cardboard or glass containers. These volumetric filling machines are piston-operated and can be set to speeds of up to 850 units per minute. Synchronisation between piston filler and seamer can be mechanical or electrical.

FERRUM's monobloc system is designed to integrate machinery for the in-line filling and closing of cans, providing still greater levels of automation in the packaging process.
