CEREX REACTOR CEREAL PUFFING TECHNOLOGY

Unlike any other gun puffing system, the Cerex puffing system is quiet, clean and reliable. With a capacity of 350kg/hr or 700kg/hr (basis: wheat, 70kg/m³) and a yield of up to 95%, it outperforms all other puffing systems.

Our puffing systems are designed for 24/7 industrial scale operations. With 40% decreased energy input and 98% readiness for operation, the costs for puffed cereals are minimal.

The production parameters can be adjusted to allow puffing of many items of varying size and shape, based on cereal grains, seeds and pellets.

ROTARY COOKERS FOR CORNFLAKES AND MULTI-FLAKES

Cerex rotary cookers for cornflakes and multi-flake lines introduce a new technique of controlled cooking. The cooking process is conducted by the product temperature and not by the pressure inside the cooker barrel. The direct steam injection into the product reveals a better cooking result, higher productivity and significant energy savings.

Our rotary cooker is the first to apply energy directly to the corn grits by injecting steam only from below and not, like other rotary cookers, uncontrollably into the cooker’s headspace.

The cooking process works with less water and energy, avoiding agglomeration and build-ups. The rotary cooker is 100% self-emptying making frequent cleaning stops obsolete. Productivity thus rises by up to 20%.

The rotary cooker is combined with a sophisticated PLC control system, which simplifies even difficult cooking procedures.

AUTOMATIC LID FOR ROTARY COOKERS

Cerex's new rotary cooker lid allows the operator to avoid manual handling and heavy lifting. It makes work safer because the operator is kept away from hot surfaces and steam breakouts.

Unlike the slide valve, the internal side of the rotary cooker lid is flush to the cooker barrel and there are no product build-ups. It is very sturdy and tolerates slight seal failures.

HIGH BRIX COATING TECHNOLOGY FOR CEREAL PUFFS

This highly sophisticated coating technology adds up to 50% coating (basis: final product). Due to the specific process of preparing and applying highly concentrated 98% coating syrup, the final product does not shrink and receives the nice, glossy surface appreciated by the consumer.
