Anhydro offers a broad range of DEDERT evaporators and services aimed at higher productivity, energy efficiency, long equipment life and repeatable performance.
DEDERT evaporators incorporate unique and innovative designs which have long operated in the starch and ethanol industries. Anhydro is known worldwide for DEDERT evaporators provided to a long list of industrial applications, which include concentration of wheat and corn stillage, starch, sugars, chemicals, along with many other proprietary process fluids. The evaporation technology utilized includes recirculated falling film, single pass falling film, forced circulation, natural circulation (rising film), in single effect through multiple effect systems. Heating energy sources range from steam, waste heat (dryer gas or fluid), alcohol vapors, mechanical recompression and thermal recompression, which are evaluated using real time energy costs to aid in selecting the optimum system, resulting in balanced capitol vs. energy costs.
FLEXIBLE EVAPORATOR SYSTEMS
Anhydro's offer of energy efficient DEDERT evaporator designs begins with a review of the client's process fluid, available or preferred energy source, and the initial system configuration preference. This data is then evaluated for suitability of the selected evaporator type, and energy efficiency, and discussed with the client before a budget or formal offer is presented. Along with any client design or construction specifications, preferred vendors, or other unique requirements, a detailed bid can be prepared. This allows Anhydro to offer unique and custom engineered evaporator systems to our clients, and to fit any combination of new or existing buildings, environments, or installation sites around the world.
BIOFUEL INDUSTRY
Since the initial appearance of Biofuel on the industrial scene over 25 years ago, DEDERT evaporators have been engineered for a variety of stillage streams including wheat, corn, barley and sugar beet. DEDERT evaporator systems are configured to minimize downtime and simplify cleaning processes in difficult and fouling applications. Systems have also been provided to recover valuable energy from condensing alcohol vapors to drive single and multiple effect evaporator systems.
DEDERT evaporators have been installed in heat recovery service for many years. This unique type of evaporation equipment utilizes waste heat from a variety of grain dryer systems, and includes process features that accommodate the inherent fiber contained in the dryer discharge stream. These evaporator systems are custom-engineered to the discharge conditions from the client's dryer, ie. discharge vapor wet bulb temperatures, in evaluating energy recovery potential. In many cases, there is sufficiently high wet bulb (high moisture gas) to allow multiple effect systems to be engineered, with three effects not uncommon, resulting in significant energy savings for the achieved evaporation capacity.
