TS Plastics - Metalized, Vacuum and Laminated Films and Bags for Food Packaging

TS Plastics Sdn Bhd is a leading manufacturer of Polypropylene (PP) and Oriented Polypropylene (OPP) plastic bags. .

Initially, TS Plastics concentrated on the manufacture of PP (Polypropylene) plastic bags as it was relatively a small investment and easy to operate and manage.

In 2001, the company further advanced into the production of nylon bags. These nylon bags are used for packaging rice, frozen food, etc.

LAMINATED FILMS AND BAGS

TS Plastics manufacture single or multi-layered laminated films, supplied in rolls or as bags, to customer specified requirements. TS Plastics' laminated films are avialbale in OPP / CPP, PET / CPP and KOP / CPP compositions, depending on the barrier properties and finish desired. These laminated films and bags are suitable for packaging products such as candy, biscuits, dried meat, salted meat, dried melon seeds and confectionery.

VACUUM METALIZED LAMINATED FILMS AND BAGS

Metalized laminates feature a metallic substrate between plastic film layers. They offer excellent barrier properties, especially against moisture; ensuring products remain fresh throughout their shelf-life. Common applications are for foodstuffs such as biscuit, snack foods and fast foods etc. Compositions include: PET / metalized / PE (CPP) and OPP / metalized / PE (CPP). Metalized laminates are supplied in roll or bag form.

VACCUUM BAGS FOR FRESH FOOD PACKAGING

Vaccum bags allow packages to be environmentally sealed, offering exceptional shelf-life and freshness retention. Vacuum bags are available in a variety of compositions:

  • ONY / PE (CPP)
  • KNY / PE (CPP)
  • ONY / AL / PE

Typical applications include the packaging of fresh food and prepared food stuffs, grains, pickles, vegetarian dishes, etc.

PP AND OPP LAMINATE FILM MANUFACTURING FACILITIES

Our factory consists of 6 units with a total area of the factory is 2779m2. Over the years, the company has expanded greatly. In 2003 the company has achieved a sales turnover of RM12.5 million. Mr Oh believes that the company future success is in the expanding and in the modernizing of operations, to better satisfy the customer's needs; including the product quality as well as remaining competitive in the marketplace.

The company is equipped with the most advanced machinery and technical experts from the field of films, polymers, converting and packaging. Our production process includes printing, lamination, slitting and bag making.

There is a huge anticipated demand for plastics, especially for packaging requirements. Many users of metal containers are switching to plastic in order to reduce weight and volume for transportation; prevent damage / dents; and minimize cost.

ABOUT THIS COMPANY

The company has been established since 1978; it was formerly known as Thye San Plastics Industries. Prior to this venture our Managing Director, Mr Oh Chew Hua had worked in the plastic packaging industry since 1966.

In 1996, Thye San Plastic Industries changed to TS Plastic Sdn Bhd (TSP). From that year onwards, TS Plastics has entered into the market of OPP (Orientated Polypropylene) plastic bags. Mr Oh as the Managing Director has successfully managed the company, even through the economic crisis of 1997.

Now, 26 years since the founding of TSP, the company employs 66 staff. The staff are TSPs most valuable natural resource. They are partners in all that TSP has accomplished.
