Challenging the Packaging and Converting Industry

27 July 2009

The Packaging and Converting Executive forum (PACE) 2010 prepares a solution.

The rapidly changing face of the packaging and converting industry produces new and often unforeseen challenges; from having to rapidly react to a suddenly fragmented market, to new materials and technologies revolutionising manufacturing practices.

The PACE forum provides an ideal platform for top executives to share these challenges, benchmark against peers and find solutions from their supply-chain partners both upstream and downstream. Furthermore the current and future packaging landscape will be analysed, discussed and solutions debated in a series of interactive, case-study based presentations; topics outlined include:

  • Measuring the return on packaging design and innovation investment
  • 'Green Packaging' – a unique and interactive workshop
  • Reducing costs through effective distribution and logistics management
  • Assessing the pros and cons of bio-polymers
  • A case study on global sourcing – managing quality from emerging markets

Furthermore, Inventia will be giving a presentation on consumer psychology and using real time tracking methods to demonstrate how to improve the two 'moments of truth' in packaging.

As the programme continues to evolve in order to incorporate all of the latest developments so does the audience profile, with latest confirmed attendees including; VP Packaging, Unilever, VP Corporate Packaging, Procter and Gamble, Global Category Manager, AstraZeneca plc, and Director Global Packaging Innovation, CocaCola.
