Kobusch-Sengewald is an international producer and processor of flexible plastic packaging films. We offer our customers in the food industry high-performance and future-oriented packaging solutions from one source.

The wide range of flexible food packaging products includes mono films, composite films and coextruded films, peelable films, barrier films (MAP), tubular and deep-drawn films, bags with and without reclosure feature, stretch sleeves, shrink sleeves and wrap-around labels, tube films, packaging systems as well as metallised films and aluminium laminates – laminated and in high-quality printing up to ten colours.

PEELABLE FILMS

Our peelable films facilitate easy opening of the packaging and thus they make for more convenience. We offer a wide range of films that peel against themselves and against diverse flexible and rigid films. The peeling force can be defined by temperature within the range of soft peel up to weld sealing. Some of the peelable films are equipped with antistatic and some with anti-fogging coating.

BARRIER FILMS (MAP)

A further indicative of Kobusch-Sengewald’s expertise in films are the high-quality barrier films with modified atmosphere (MAP: Modified Atmosphere Packaging). These barrier films offer a reliable preservation of aroma and extend the shelf life of the food products considerably.

According to the product requirements we produce coextruded and laminated barrier films with barriers against O2, CO2, N2, steam and UV light. These films are equipped with excellent sealing layers and thus they allow easy sealing even with impurities by greases, liquids or production dusts.

STAND-UP POUCHES

Stand-up pouches are solid and space-saving. They can be presented as eye-catcher and are ideal advertising media. The stand-up pouches are suitable for most diverse products such as mixed drinks, soups or sauces.

We supply pouches with and without pouring spouts, with handle or transparent window, as boilable or sterilisable version. They are also available as reclosable packaging or with laser perforation for easy opening.

MICROWAVE FILMS

Steam cooking of fresh instant meals in a microwave gets more and more popular, as the meals can be eaten straight from the packaging. We developed a special kind of temperature resistant lidding film with valve function for this packaging system. We supply the film either with a peelable or a weld seal. It can be equipped with anti-fog coatings.

LABELS – STRETCH, SHRINK, FULL-BODY SLEEVES AND WRAP-AROUND LABELS

Our stretch sleeves ensure an anti-slip and perfect position around the container without overlap seam. Wrap-around labels shine owing to their brilliant optical properties. Both kinds of labels are also available in the attractive "no label look". Wrap-around labels and stretch sleeves are ideal for beverages filled in PET returnable bottles if made of the recyclable PE version.

The range of labels also comprises shrink sleeves / full body sleeves for very conical containers. In addition to their high-quality configuration they can also be used as a tamper evident.
