The New DualDrive SP Belt with a Smaller Pulley Takes Positive Drive Belts One Step Further

With the upcoming IFFA 2007 trade fair, Volta is releasing the new DualDrive SP™ belt. DualDrive SP is especially designed to work with a smaller pulley while maintaining the same positive-drive and highly hygienic characteristics as the Volta DualDrive™ and SuperDrive™ belts.
The DualDrive SP belt requires a lighter conveyor construction since it works with a 50 mm pulley diameter and requires minimal tensioning. This relatively small pulley provides a tight transfer of the end-product between conveyors, reducing product loss and overall conveying costs.
The unique design of the DualDrive SP belt has a smooth homogenous surface on both sides and integral teeth on the drive side, both of which prevent slippage, belt elongation and bacterial build-up. Since the belt has no modular components or joints, noise levels are reduced to a minimum.
DualDrive SP is a highly-hygienic belt thanks to of its homogenous characteristics. Cleaning the belt is very easy; cleaning shifts are therefore shorter, which significantly increases the production time. The highly-smooth quality surfaces ensure low costs and efforts in sanitation and water treatment.
Volta manufactures two unique pulleys for the DualDrive SP belt: 50mm (8 teeth) and 62mm (10 teeth) in diameter. This belt is manufactured with integral teeth, has no seams and is extruded in 30m lengths without factory splicing. The unique design of the pulleys ensures long-term reliability and maximizes the DualDrive SP's performance.
