Focus of the corporation's CSR activities is healthy eating habits among children
Symrise, the fragrance and flavorings manufacturer which went public on the German stock exchange last year, has issued its first Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) report. The company is using this publication to release data, facts and background information on its activities in the fields of the environment, the economy and social accountability.
Symrise is an international supplier of perfumes and ingredients for the fragrance and cosmetic industries, as well as flavorings for the food industry. It focuses its CSR work on promoting healthy eating habits among children.
Symrise targets most of its global charitable contribution toward fighting obesity in children. One result of their endeavors led to a project that was jointly organized with the Fulda University of Applied Science: Germany's first Naschgarten ('snacking garden'), a hands-on fruit and vegetable garden in Holzminden where children can enjoy healthy foods and physical activity in an age-appropriate environment.
