Wheatex is an unflavored, textured, dry wheat protein available in a variety of sizes and colors. Wheatex can also be used as an extender for a variety of applications including: shredded beef, chicken, fish, turkey, pork, barbecue, seafood, etc. Wheatex can also be used as a meat replacer for excellent tasting vegetarian products. MIDSOL FP 600 WHEAT PROTEIN FOR BINDINGMidsol FP 600 is a specialty wheat protein used for binding applications. Midsol FP 600 provides tremendous binding and mouth-feel characteristics in low-fat meat emulsions and restructured meat products. It is also an excellent binder for vegetarian products such as veggie burgers, meatballs, meatloaf, etc., and it imparts a meat-like texture. In addition, Midsol FP 600 can be used for the manufacture of pizza doughs, in which it improves texture and enables easier handling. It also has applications in flour tortillas. Midsol FP 600 can stabilize and improve the texture of surimi-type products and can be used in canned pasta providing excellent stability during retort (heating) cycle.
