06 June 2007 16:17

LycoRed has named Mr. Udi Alroy as Vice President (VP) of global marketing and sales. In his new position Mr. Alroy will be responsible for the company's worldwide operations.

Mr. Alroy worked for LycoRed-Bio, a daughter company of LycoRed, from 2004 to 2005, before moving to LycoRed in late 2005 as marketing director. The recent mergers and acquisitions at LycoRed put Alroy at the forefront of LycoRed international activities. Alroy holds a Masters in Business Administration from Pace University in New York.

"Udi is a respected and talented senior manager and we are proud to have him aboard," said Morris Zelkha, CEO of LycoRed. "We are especially pleased to welcome Udi to his new position as we are ready to set new goals. Our strategy diverts focus from one brand onto a portfolio of high-value carotenoid brands, natural food colorants and innovative fortification solutions. LycoRed is committed to providing our worldwide customer base with innovative solutions to delivery system and regulatory challenges."

"I look forward to the challenges of this new position," commented Alroy. "LycoRed's goal is to become a key partner with our customers, bringing them new ideas, products and technologies. We intend to lead the natural colorants revolution and to use our outstanding know-how in standardising plant extracts to bring healthy, natural products to the marketplace."
