NSF Awards GMP Registration to Blue California's Manufacturing Facility in China.

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA - Blue California, an ingredient manufacturer in Southern California, announced NSF, an independent non-profit organization, has awarded GMP registration to its manufacturing facility in China. Blue California is one of only three manufacturing facilities in China to be awarded NSF's GMP registration.
Cecilia McCollum, Blue California's Executive Vice President states, " Being awarded GMP certification by NSF is a great achievement for Blue California; it confirms once more our continued commitment to quality. Our manufacturing facility has been ISO-9000 certified since 2002, however, receiving GMP registration by NSF confirms our unwavering commitment to support our customers in their effort to meet the industry' s demand for stricter control and regulations. Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are requirements that provide guidelines for necessary processes, procedures and documentation to assure the product produced has the identity, strength, composition, quality and purity it is represented to possess. NSF conducted a plant audit to verify compliance with GMPs and will conduct periodic audits to ensure continued conformance. GMPs for the current NSF Dietary Supplements Program are included in NSF American National Standard 173-Dietary Supplements, the only American National Standard for Dietary Supplements.
