SINEOX™ TBHQ ANTIOXIDANTS

Our SINEOX™ food grade TBHQ is used in edible oils and fats and typically has a protection factor of more than double that of other synthetic antioxidants such as BHA, BHT, propyl gallate and significantly more than this for natural antioxidants such as tocopherols, ascorbyl palmitate and rosemary extract. This results in excellent shelf life extension and improved carry through properties of oil during storage, frying and baking applications and makes SINEOX™ food grade TBHQ the most cost effective antioxidant.

TBHQ, being a primary antioxidant, inhibits the formation of free radicals that cause oxidative degradation. Addition of SINEOX™ food grade TBHQ minimizes degradation consequences such as rancidity, unpleasant odors, oil spoilage and formation of undesirable polymeric gums in frying oils.

AAFC also produce SINEOX™ TBHQ for stabilization of feed products containing vegetable oils and for technical applications such as a polymerization inhibitors and retarders in Unsaturated Polyester (UP) resins. Recent developments also demonstrate that SINEOX™ TBHQ effectively stabilizes oil based cosmetic products.

Our SINEOX™ DTBHQ is also used in UP resin inhibitor applications as well as to prevent color deterioration of steam extracted organic liquids.
